Adoption/Foster Application-Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet from Guardians of the Green Mile Inc. We are a group of individuals who have come together to save the lives of animals in danger of being euthanized.

All of the dogs in our Rescue are in Foster homes while they are looking for their forever family. Meet and Greets will be set up after your application is in process.

We appreciate your taking the time to fill out the application to adopt one of our Guardians of the Green Mile pets. The questions we ask are only to find the right fit for all our dogs and the families that will adopt them. Please complete the form to the best of your ability. Adoption fees are $300 for dogs that are one year and older. $350 for puppies under one year. A $50.00 Deposit will be refunded after the Puppy is Spayed or Neutered.

Included in the adoption fee: All animals will be fully vetted, microchipped, and spayed or neutered.

Renters must submit a copy of their lease agreement to verify the Landlord.- We will not proceed without it.

We require that all Fosters and Adopters with personal animals be spayed/neutered. Age appropriate and healthy enough for surgery, We will verify that with the reference call to your Veterinarian.

We are 100% volunteer operated and will process your application within a few days to a week, depending on volunteer availability. We will be checking with your veterinarian and personal references. Please let them know ahead of time. Applicants will be interviewed and require a home visit before being approved to adopt or foster a dog from GOTGM.

***Please note, we MAY require a $50 deposit to hold your puppy/dog once your application is approved and your home check is complete. The deposit will be applied to your pet's adoption fee. This will allow us to hold the pet for you and your family. Refunds will be given up to one week after application is signed should you change your mind. A written request for refund is required in order to cancel the adoption on your pet and refund adoption fee.

Applicant is under no obligation to adopt a dog and Guardians of the Green Mile Inc. is under no obligation to provide a dog to the applicant. Dogs suggested to the applicant based on this application and the subsequent interview and home check may differ from dog(s) listed on this application as Guardians of the Green Mile Inc. may believe that different dogs are a better match for said applicant. All applications are subject to acceptance based on a review process that requires collecting information from references and visiting the applicant's home. All decisions on placing dogs in adoptive and foster homes are based solely on the judgement of the volunteers and board of directors of Guardians of the Green Mile Inc. Applications submitted through this form may be denied for various reasons. Guardians of the Green Mile Inc. reserves the right to make all decisions regarding placement or final disposition of any rescued dog in its care whether in, or being placed in, a foster or adoptive home or other facility. By submitting your completed application to Guardians of the Green Mile Inc., you attest that you have read the above disclaimer and agree to the terms therein.
